Clint Stitser
Clint Stitser (born May 19, 1985) is a former American football placekicker. He was signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He played college football at Fresno State. Stitser was also a member of the Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals, Washington Redskins and Las Vegas Locomotives. He is currently a real estate broker in Reno, Nevada. College career Stitser played college football for the Fresno State Bulldogs from 2003 to 2007. He made 71% of his field goals in his college career. Professional career New York Jets Stitser went undrafted in the 2008 NFL Draft. He was signed by the New York Jets on April 6, 2010, but was waived on June 1. Seattle Seahawks He signed with the Seattle Seahawks on August 17 and played in one preseason game for the Seahawks. Placekicker
Placekicker, or simply kicker (PK or K), is the player in gridiron football who is responsible for the kicking duties of field goals and extra points. In many cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist or punter. Specialized role The kicker initially was not a specialized role. Prior to the 1934 standardization of the prolate spheroid shape of the ball, drop kicking was the prevalent method of kicking field goals and conversions, but even after its replacement by place kicking, until the 1960s the kicker almost always doubled at another position on the roster. George Blanda, Lou Groza, Frank Gifford and Paul Hornung are prominent examples of players who were stars at other positions as well as being known for their kicking abilities. When the one-platoon system was abolished in the 1940s, the era of "two-way" players gave way to increased specialization, teams would employ a specialist at the punter or kicker position. The 2012 UFL season was the fourth and final season of the United Football League. The 2011 UFL season was the third season of the United Football League (UFL). The season, which was affected by franchise shifts and schedule delays due in part to the UFL's lingering financial issues (as well as a failure to capitalize on the National Football League's player lockout), began on September 15, 2011 and would have run through October 28, with a championship game set for the following weekend.
