Clint Camilleri
Clint Camilleri (February 24, 1988) is a Maltese politician, architect and civil engineer, currently serving as Minister for Gozo in the Prime Minister Robert Abela's cabinet of 2020. Among the youngest members of cabinet, Camilleri previously served as a Parliamentary Secretary and a Minister in former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat's cabinet. Prior to becoming a Member of Parliament and Minister, he was the Mayor of Qala in 2017. Family and education Clint Camilleri was born on 24 February, 1988, to Anton Camilleri and Marlene née Gauci. Anton served on the Qala local council as a councillor and as Mayor, and was Vice-President of the Gozo Football Association until his death in 2009. Anton's father Anġlu Camilleri was a Labour member of parliament from August 1971 until November 1981. Gozo Football Association
The Gozo Football Association (GFA) is the body that co-ordinates and organises football on the island of Gozo, Malta. Formed in 1936, it organises the Gozo Football League, which is split into two divisions, the First Division and the Second Division. It also organises the G.F.A. Cup, the Independence Cup, the Freedom Day Cup, the BOV Super Cup, the First Division Knock-Out, the Second Division Knock-Out, the Second Division Challenge Cup, the Under-21s League, Under-18 League, and the Under-15s. It also organises the Gozo national football team. The GFA also ran the Gozo FC which from season 2008–09 was playing in the Maltese Second Division after winning the Maltese Third Division Section B; from 16 matches they recorded 15 wins and a draw. As of the 2021/22 season, there are 14 Gozitan clubs competing in both divisions. Labour Party (Malta)
The Labour Party ( mt, Partit Laburista, PL), formerly known as the Malta Labour Party ( mt, Partit tal-Ħaddiema, MLP), is one of the two major political parties in Malta, along with the Nationalist Party. It sits on the centre-left of the political spectrum. The party was founded in 1920 as the Chamber of Labour by a small group of trade unionists. Its prominent member Paul Boffa served as the first Labour prime minister between 1947 and 1950. The European Parliament (EP) is one of the legislative bodies of the European Union and one of its seven institutions. Nadur
Nadur ( mt, In-Nadur) is an administrative unit of Malta, located in the eastern part of the island of Gozo. Nadur is built on a plateauand is one of the largest localities in Gozo. Known as the 'second city', it spreads along a high ridge to the east of Victoria. It had a population of 4,509 as of March 2014. The word ‘Nadur’ is derived from the Arabic word ‘nadara’, which means 'lookout', pretty much having the same meaning as its motto ‘Vigilant’. The motto appears in Nadur’s coat of arms that shows the sun coming up from blue seas. The town is famous for its bakeries. Near Nadur are San Blas and Dahlet Qorrot Bays, tiny rocky bays on the North Eastern coast. These are locations for swimming, snorkelling, picnics, and trekking.
