Cliff Harris (cornerback)
Cliff Jamaal Harris (born December 12, 1990) is an American former college football player who was a cornerback for the Oregon Ducks football, Oregon Ducks. He was named a consensus College Football All-America Team, All-American as a kick returner in 2010. He was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL) as an undrafted free agent in 2012. Early years Harris attended Edison High School (Fresno, California), Edison High School in Fresno, California, where he was a teammate of T. J. McDonald. Regarded as a four-star recruit by ''Rivals.com'', Harris was listed as the #7 cornerback prospect in the class of 2009. A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. They create turnovers through hard tackles, interceptions, and deflecting forward passes. Other members of the defensive backfield include strong and free safeties. The cornerback position requires speed, agility, strength, and the ability to make rapid sharp turns.
