Cliff Durandt
Clifford Michael Durandt (16 April 1940 – 3 October 2002) was a South African Association football, footballer who played as a Midfielder#Winger, winger. He played in the Football League First Division, English First Division for Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C., Wolverhampton Wanderers, with whom he won the league title. He is the father of a boxing promoter and trainer Nick Durandt. Career After being educated at the King Edward VII School (Johannesburg), King Edward VII School in his hometown Johannesburg, Durandt began his football career with Marist Brothers. In May 1957, just 17 years old, he was selected to play for a South Africa XI against tourists Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C., Wolverhampton Wanderers, where his display - he scored twice in a 3-7 loss - earned him a move to the English club.
