It is a state-controlled district road (number 109) rated as a local road of regional significance (LRRS). Route description Cleveland–Redland Bay Road commences at an intersection with Capalaba–Cleveland Road (Shore Street West) in as State Route 47. It runs south as Waterloo Street, crossing two roundabouts before turning east on Russell Street. It then turns south on Bloomfield Street. As it crosses South Street and enters the name changes to Cleveland–Redland Bay Road. Continuing through Thornlands it turns south-east and passes the exit to Redland Bay Road (Boundary Road) as it approaches the southern boundary (Eprapah Creek). Redland Bay is a coastal semi-rural locality in the City of Redland, Queensland, Australia. In the , Redland Bay had a population of 14,958 people. Since the first European settlers arrived in the mid-19th century, Redland Bay has remained a farming and fishing-based area until the mid-20th century when some of the farms were subdivided and improved transport infrastructure made it possible for residents to commute the 35 kilometers into Brisbane. Geography Redland Bay is at the southern end of Redland City, south-east of Brisbane, the capital of Queensland. The locality is named for the bay to its east (), which forms part of larger Moreton Bay. Eprapah Creek
Eprapah Creek (longitude 153.30º East, latitude -27.567º South) is a sub-tropical stream located in Redland City close to Brisbane in South East Queensland, Australia. It rises on the north-eastern slopes of Mount Cotton and flows directly to the Moreton Bay at Victoria Point. It is long with about of estuarine zone. In the latter, the water depth is typically about one to two m mid-stream, the width is about 20 to 30 m and the tides are semi-diurnal with a range of about two m. The catchment (~ 39 km2 area) is mostly urban in the lower reaches and semi rural/rural residential in the upper reaches. The creek includes several conservation areas such as Eprapah hosting endangered species, e.g. koalas, swamp wallabies, sea eagles. Cleveland Point Light
Cleveland Point Light, also known as Point Cleveland Light, is a lighthouse located on the north-eastern tip of Cleveland Point, at Cleveland, Queensland, Cleveland, Redland City, Queensland, Australia. It overlooks Moreton Bay to the east and Raby Bay to the west. The old lighthouse was established in 1864-1865 as a wooden hexagonal tower. It is one of only two surviving lighthouses of this form, the other being Old Burnett Heads Light. A newer light, constructed of a concrete post, replaced it in 1976, and the old lighthouse was relocated a short distance away, where it stands today. The newer light was removed in 2009. An early 1847 private beacon was replaced by a temporary government light in 1864, and then the permanent tower in 1865. The lens was upgraded twice, in 1874 and 1879.
