Clem Smith (footballer)
Clem Smith (born 3 February 1996) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played with Carlton in the Australian Football League (AFL). Smith attended Wesley College in Perth. He played for Thornlie JFC and Perth Demons in the WAFHe was recruited by Carlton with their third selection and sixtieth overall in the 2014 AFL draft, 2014 national draft from the Perth Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). He made his AFL debut against in the first game of the 2015 AFL season, starting as the substitute but coming into the field within the first minute after Dale Thomas was substituted off due to injury. He played seven games in his debut season, but failed to play a game in 2016 and was delisted at the end of the season. Clement Smith (28 June 1910 – 1970) was an English footballer who played in the Football League for Chester, Halifax Town and Stoke City Career Born in Wath-upon-Dearne, England Smith started his football career with South Kirkby, where his goals lead the club to the final of the Yorkshire League Cup where South Kirkby faced Halifax Town, who promptly signed him. He spent two years with the "Shaymen" before joining Chester in 1937 for £1,000. He impressed at Chester which led to Stoke City paying £2,000 for Smith's services to provide back up for Freddie Steele and George Antonio. He made 25 appearances for Stoke scoring seven goals. 2016 AFL Season
The 2016 AFL season was the 120th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured eighteen clubs, ran from 24 March until 1 October, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top eight clubs. Thirty-four players, seventeen of whom were still active in the league, missed the season through suspension by the World Anti-Doping Agency, for doping infringements which occurred at the Essendon Football Club as part of its 2012 sports supplements program. Dale Robert Jordan “Daisy” Thomas (born 21 June 1987) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club and Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Thomas was a priority pick in 2005 where he then played with the Collingwood Football Club from 2006 to 2013 before transferring to the Blues in 2014. Early life Dale Thomas grew up in Drouin with his mother Kaye, father Darryl and his sister Jessica. As a child, he idolised the Geelong Cats' Gary Ablett, who also grew up in Drouin. He idolised Ablett so much that he used to repeatedly watch his grandfather's tapes of Ablett and Geelong and recreate Ablett's marks and goals.
