Clearwater Bay
Clear Water Bay () is a bay on the eastern shore of Clear Water Bay Peninsula of Hong Kong, located within Clear Water Bay Country Park. There are two beaches at Clear Water Bay: " Clear Water Bay First Beach" and "Clear Water Bay Second Beach". The name is also used to describe the area around the bay on the peninsula. Beaches During the summer, both beaches have life guards on duty. Changing rooms, lockers, shower facilities, toilets and rafts are available at both beaches. A BBQ area can only be found on the first beach, but there is a kiosk selling refreshment on the second beach. There is an unavoidable flight of stairs of about 100 steps for both beaches, so strollers and wheelchairs cannot be used to access the beaches. Both beaches are protected by shark nets after three fatal shark attacks occurred in 1995. The Education Bureau (EDB) is responsible for formulating and implementing education policies in Hong Kong. The bureau is headed by the Secretary for Education and oversees agencies including University Grants Committee and Student Finance Office. Ngau Chi Wan
Ngau Chi Wan was a bay beneath Hammer Hill in New Kowloon, Hong Kong. It now refers to an area where Choi Hung Estate is situated. Features Amidst in an urban built-up area, the original Ngau Chi Wan Village remains. St. Joseph's Home for the Aged is famous in the area and now under redevelopment. The cluster of Ngau Chi Wan Civic Centre, Ngau Chi Wan Municipal Services Building and Ngau Chi Wan Sports Centre serve the needs of neighbouring housing estates. Sam Shan Kwok Wong Temple () is located in Ngau Chi Wan, along Kwun Tong Road. “Sam Shan” refers to three famous mountains of Chaozhou in Guangdong , namely Du Shan , Ming Shan and Jin Shan. Tseung Kwan O Station
Tseung Kwan O (; : ) is a station on the MTR located at the town centre of the Tseung Kwan O New Town in the New Territories of Hong Kong. The previous station is and the line splits after this station to and . The entrances to the station are on Tong Chun Street, Popcorn Mall and Tong Yin Street. A public transport interchange is located outside the station. The architecture firm Aedas designed the station. Po Lam
Po Lam ( Chinese: 寶琳 or 寶林) is a neighbourhood in northern Tseung Kwan O, New Territories. An MTR station with the same name, Tseung Kwan O Village, Yau Yue Wan Village, King Lam Estate, and Po Lam Estate are located there. Name Po Lam is named after one of the first roads in Tseung Kwan O, the Po Lam Road, whose name was taken from the Chinese translation of the first name of Barbara B. Whitener (寶琳), Rev. Sterling H. Whitener's wife. Rev. Whitener was a missionary based at the Haven of Hope Tuberculosis Sanatorium (now Haven of Hope Hospital) at the time. When Po Lam Estate was under planning, it was named "寶林邨", with a different second character but pronounced in the same way. The Po Lam MTR station, on the contrary, used "琳". Government documents have used both names, referring to the area as "寶琳" in a brochure issued by the Planning Department, but also using "林" for the Po Lam Sports Centre within Po Lam Estate. Diamond Hill
Diamond Hill is a hill in the east of Kowloon, Hong Kong. The name also refers to the area on or adjacent to the hill. It is surrounded by Ngau Chi Wan, San Po Kong, Wong Tai Sin and Tsz Wan Shan. Its northeast is limited by the ridge. It is principally a residential district. Administratively, the area is part of Wong Tai Sin District. History The village settlements in the area, Sheung Yuen Leng () and Ha Yuen Leng (), predated British colonization, and may have been established as early as the early eighteenth century. There were squatter dwellings ( shanties) up and down the hill that were demolished after years of effort by the Hong Kong Government. The squatter population peaked at around 50,000 people. Plaza Hollywood () is a large shopping centre in Diamond Hill, Kowloon, Hong Kong. It is part of Galaxia, a residential estate of Wharf Holdings. Clear Water Bay Road () is a major road from Choi Hung Interchange in Ngau Chi Wan to Clear Water Bay, Sai Kung District. It also is a route to Sai Kung Town and Tseung Kwan O via Hiram's Highway and Hang Hau Road / Ying Yip Road respectively.
