Clayton Silva
Clayton Silva (February 6, 1938 – January 15, 2013) was a Brazilian actor and comedian. He was a regular cast member on the SBT television series, ''A Praça é Nossa ''A Praça é Nossa'' (''The Square is Ours'') is a Brazilian comedy show produced and broadcast by SBT. It was created in 1956 by Manuel de Nóbrega, with the name of ''A Praça da Alegria''. It is based using a simple and practical scenario: ...'', from the show's debut in 1987 until his death in January 2013. Silva coined several of the show's best known catchphrases. His film credits included ''O Bem Dotado Homem de Itu'' in 1978, ''As Aventuras de Mário Fofoca'' in 1982, and ''Pecado Horizontal'', also released in 1982. Silva was originally from Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, Brazil. He resided on a farm in São Paulo State, between the cities of Campinas and Indaiatuba, for the last twelve years of his life. The Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão (; SBT ; "Brazilian Television System") is a Brazilian television network founded on Wednesday, 19 August 1981, by the businessman and television personality Silvio Santos. The company was established after a public tender by the Brazilian Federal Government to form two new networks, created from revoked concessions of the defunct Tupi and Excelsior networks. The SBT was funded in the same day that the concession agreement was signed, and that the act was broadcast live by the network, so that this was his first program aired. Before acquiring the concessions of the four station that were to form the SBT, Grupo Silvio Santos had since 1976 the concession of Rio de Janeiro's channel 11, known as TVS Rio de Janeiro (now SBT Rio), which was a fundamental step to give life to the SBT.
