Claus Olesen
Claus Elsborg Olesen (born 21 August 1974 in Galten, Skandenborg) is a retired Danish sailor, who specialized in two-person keelboat ( Star) class. He represented Denmark in the Star class in two editions of the Olympic Games (2004 and 2012), and also shared bronze medals with his partner Michael Hestbæk at the 2012 Star World Championships in Hyères, France. Olesen has also been training throughout most of his sporting career for Kaløvig Bådelaug Yacht Club in Århus. Olesen made his official debut at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, where he paired up with Nicklas Holm in the Star class. On 16 August 2004 Olesen had almost been injured and charged in a road accident, when his partner Holm struck and killed a British pedestrian while speeding in his car on the way to witness the Danish handball team's prelim match. Galten, Denmark
Galten is a former railway town in central Denmark, at the Aarhus- Hammel- Thorsø railroad which was closed in 1956. The town is located in Skanderborg Municipality, Region Midtjylland, Jutland – about – west of Aarhus and is now more or less a satellite town of Aarhus. Xavier Charles René Rohart (born 1 July 1968) is a French sailor. A member of the YC La Pelle in Marseille, he is now competing in the Star class. He won a bronze medal in the Star class with Pascal Rambeau at the 2004 Summer Olympics, and has also competed at four other Olympics. Born in Thionville, he is a two-time world champion and is a founder of the Star Sailors League. He now sails with Pierre-Alexis Ponsot. Pierre-Alexis Ponsot (born 8 May 1975 in Granville, Manche) is a French sailor, who specialized in two-person keelboat ( Star) class. He represented France, along with his partner and six-time Olympian Xavier Rohart at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and has also been training for Ouest Nautical Sports Club (french: Sport Nautique de l'Ouest) throughout most of his sporting career.
