Claus Kristensen
Claus Kristensen (born 11 June 1977) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Denmark. Biography Kristensen, born in Holstebro, came to prominence in 1997, after he won the Danish U21 championship. Initially he rode for Herning in Denmark before securing a deal to ride in the British league system. He began his British leagues career riding for Berwick Bandits during the 1999 Premier League speedway season. The following season in 2000, he joined Swindon Robins, improved his average to 7.13 and would help the club win the Knockout Cup. Danish Individual Speedway Championship
Individual Speedway Danish Championship is the National competition for Danish speedway riders to determine the champion of Denmark. The event was first held in 1947. From 1947 to 1951 there was no definitive difference between the short track and long track Championship of Denmark resulting in the same winner being recorded for both versions. Qualification Riders holding a Danish passport and a valid DMU licence. Riders must submit their entries at least four weeks before the first meeting of the competition. Any riders who competed in the Speedway Grand Prix or World Championship Qualifying rounds during the previous season are seeded directly to the Final. The DMU may also seed other riders directly to the Final at their discretion. Brandon Stadium
Brandon Stadium, also known as Coventry Stadium, is located 6 miles east of Coventry in Brandon, Warwickshire, England. It was the home of the Coventry Bees motorcycle speedway team. It also hosted BriSCA F1 Stock Car Racing on the 1st Saturday of the month from April through to November. From 1978 until early 2016 it intermittently hosted greyhound racing. As of 2022, it is closed and has become dilapidated after several fires, including an arson attack. Speedway History Brandon Stadium's first speedway meeting took place on 29 September 1928. The track was owned by Midland Sports Stadiums (who also owned Leicester Speedway) and Charles Ochiltree promoted the Speedway and Stock Car Racing until his death in 1998.
