Claus Daae
Claus Nils Holtzrod Daae (20 December 1806 – 13 November 1896) was a Norwegian priest, educator and politician. Personal life He was born in Fana a son of dean Iver Munthe Daae (1771–1849) and Edvardine Fritzner. His father was mayor of Fana from 1838 to 1839. He was a first cousin of historian and politician Ludvig Kristensen Daa, and an uncle of physician Anders Daae. He was a first cousin once removed of jurist and politician Ludvig Daae, historian and politician Ludvig Daae, customs inspector Iver Munthe Daae, prison director Anders Daae and Suzannah Daae Ibsen. In November 1835 in Bergen he married Aadel Christine Wibye (1813–1896). She was a first cousin on his maternal side. Fana
Fana is a borough of the city of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. The borough makes up the southeastern part of the municipality of Bergen. The borough was once part of the historic municipality of Fana which was incorporated into Bergen in 1972. The old municipality was much larger than the present-day borough of Fana. It also included all of the present-day boroughs of Ytrebygda and Fyllingsdalen as well as the southern part of the present-day boroughs of Årstad. As of 1 January 2012, Fana had a population of 39,216. Stord
Stord is a municipality in Vestland county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Sunnhordland. Stord is sometimes called "Norway in miniature" since it has such a variety of landscapes: coastline, fjords, forests, agricultural land, and mountain areas. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Leirvik, which is also the largest town in the municipality and the whole region of Sunnhordland. Leirvik was declared a town in 1997. Bergen Cathedral
Bergen Cathedral ( no, Bergen domkirke) is a cathedral in the city of Bergen in Vestland county, Norway. It is the episcopal seat of the Diocese of Bjørgvin as well as the seat of the "Bergen domkirke" parish and the seat of the Bergen domprosti (arch-deanery). It is part of the Church of Norway. The first recorded historical reference to this church is dated 1181. It retains its ancient dedication to Saint Olaf. The cathedral seats about 900 people.
