Claudiu Adrian Mihai Petrila (born 7 November 2000) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a winger or an attacking midfielder for Liga I club Rapid București. Club career Born in Sânnicolau Român, Bihor County, Petrila started his football career with LPS Bihorul Oradea. At age 14, he was loaned out along with other players from his age group to fourth division side FC Hidișelu de Sus, where he debuted as a senior. He then had an unsuccessful trial with Sampdoria in Italy, before moving to the academy of Liga I club CFR Cluj. On 8 December 2018, manager Toni Conceição handed 18-year-old Petrila his professional debut for CFR in a 2–2 league draw with Gaz Metan Mediaș. He scored his first goal on 23 August 2020, in a 2–1 away victory over Academica Clinceni. The Supercupa României ( en, Romanian Supercup) is a Romanian football championship contested by the winners of the Liga I and the Cupa României. It is usually played at the Arena Națională in Bucharest. The competition started off in 1994, with the first edition being won by Steaua București. In 2010, for the first time in its history, the Supercup was held even though CFR Cluj had been victorious in both the league and the cup in the previous season. The 2019–20 Liga I (also known as Casa Liga 1 for sponsorship reasons) was the 102nd season of the Liga I, the top professional league for Romanian association football clubs, which began in July 2019 and was scheduled to end in June 2020. Suspended in March 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic in Romania, the season resumed on 13 June and effectively ended on 5 August. It was the fifth season to take place since the play-off/play-out rule had been introduced. CFR Cluj were two-time defending champions, and they successfully defended their title once more. The 2018–19 Liga I (also known as Liga 1 Betano for sponsorship reasons) was the 101st season of the Liga I, the top professional league for Romanian association football clubs. The season began on 20 July 2018 and ended on 2 June 2019, being the fourth to take place since the play-off/play-out rule has been introduced.
