Classical Academic Press publishes books and K–12 curriculum (including Latin, Greek, Spanish, science, logic, writing, rhetoric, grammar, poetry, literature, history) with the motto, “Classical Subjects Creatively Taught.” The press started in 2001 as a privately-owned publishing company with multiple partners, including CEO and cofounder Christopher Perrin, to develop and publish classical curricula and media. Christopher Perrin
Christopher Perrin (born 1961) is a publisher, educator, speaker, and writer. He is the CEO and cofounder of Classical Academic Press (a classical education curriculum, media, and consulting company started in 2001) and speaks regularly at schools, conferences, and homeschool conventions as well as serving as a consultant for over 55 schools in 26 states. Perrin has written for The Gospel Coalition and National Review and been cited in Christianity Today. He heads up the ''The TrueNorth Podcast Network'' with ''The Christopher Perrin Show''. Camp Hill, Pennsylvania
Camp Hill is a borough in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. It is southwest of Harrisburg and is part of the Harrisburg–Carlisle metropolitan statistical area. Classical Education Movement
The classical education movement includes a growing number of organizations taking renewed inspiration from a traditional and historic liberal arts education and that focuses human formation and learning on the liberal arts (including the natural sciences) as well as canons of classical literature, the fine arts, and the history of civilization. While schools in the movement vary in their use of these categories, the general goal of the classical education movement is to encourage this group of studies within the hundreds of contemporary schools involved (both independent and public charter) as well as the thousands of homeschooling communities. Classical Christian Education
Classical Christian education is an approach to learning rooted in the long story of Christian engagement with the classical tradition as exemplified first by figures such as the Cappadocian Fathers, Augustine and Jerome as well as the fullness of Christian monastic traditions. It's current revival in American K-12 schools started with three schools founded in 1980 to 1981: Cair Paravel-Latin School (Topeka, Kansas), Trinity School at Greenlawn (South Bend, Indiana), and Logos School (Moscow, Idaho). Various classical Christian schools emphasize and articulate different things in their approaches, but most include biblical teachings and incorporate a teaching model from the classical education movement known as the ''Trivium'', consisting of three parts: grammar, logic, and rhetoric. Peter Kreeft
Peter John Kreeft (; born March 16, 1937) is a professor of philosophy at Boston College and The King's College. A convert to Roman Catholicism, he is the author of over eighty books on Christian philosophy, theology and apologetics. He also formulated, together with Ronald K. Tacelli, ''Twenty Arguments for the Existence of God'' in their ''Handbook of Christian Apologetics''. Academic career Kreeft was born March 16, 1937, in Paterson, New Jersey, the son of John and Lucy Kreeft. He took his AB at Calvin College (1959) and an MA at Fordham University (1961). He completed his doctoral studies in 1965, also at Fordham where he completed a dissertation under the direction of W. Norris Clarke. Louis Markos is Professor in English at Houston Baptist University, where he holds the Robert H. Ray Chair in Humanities. Education Markos earned his B.A. in English and History from Colgate University and his M.A. and Ph.D. in English from the University of Michigan. The Gospel Coalition
The Gospel Coalition, or TGC, is a union of evangelical and Reformed churches. History It was founded in 2005 by theologian D. A. Carson and pastor Tim Keller. TGC describe their mission as being “deeply committed to renewing our faith in the gospel of Christ and to reforming our ministry practices to conform fully to the Scriptures.” The Gospel Coalition, Carson wrote in 2018, is “not a monolith; we are a coalition.
