Clas Eriksson
Clas Eriksson (born February 20, 1973) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player. Eriksson is currently a team manager and coach for his former club Färjestads BK. During his career, Eriksson played for Färjestads BK, apart from one and half seasons with Grums IK from 1991 to 1992. During his 13 seasons with Färjestads, he won three Swedish Championships in 1997, 1998, and 2002. In 2004 he was forced to retire due to an injury. Forward (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a forward is a player, and a position on the ice, whose primary responsibility is to score and assist goals. Generally, the forwards try to stay in three different lanes of the ice going from goal to goal. It is not mandatory, however, to stay in a lane. Staying in a lane aids in forming the common offensive strategy known as a triangle. One forward obtains the puck and then the forwards pass it between themselves making the goalie move side to side. This strategy opens up the net for scoring opportunities. This strategy allows for a constant flow of the play, attempting to maintain the control of play by one team in the offensive zone. The forwards can pass to the defence players playing at the blue line, thus freeing up the play and allowing either a shot from the point (blue line position where the defence stands) or a pass back to the offence. Olle Eriksson Ek (born 22 June 1999) is a Swedish professional ice hockey goaltender for Modo Hockey of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). He was drafted 153rd overall by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career On 22 July 2022, the Anaheim Ducks signed Eriksson Ek to a one-year contract extension through the 2022–23 NHL season. He made his NHL debut for the Ducks on 8 April 2023, in a game against the Arizona Coyotes, helping Anaheim earn a point in an overtime loss after stopping 33 shots. On 10 April 2023, he was reassigned to the Ducks' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the San Diego Gulls. Joel Eriksson Ek (last name sometimes stylized as Eriksson-Ek, born 29 January 1997) is a Swedish professional ice hockey centre for the Minnesota Wild of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted 20th overall by the Wild in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career During his rookie SHL season in 2014–15, Eriksson Ek was extended on a first team contract for a further three-years with Färjestad BK on 12 January 2015.
