Clarrie Tupper
Clarence William 'Clarrie' Tupper (1908-1985) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played in the 1930s. Playing career Clarrie Tupper played three seasons with Newtown Jets, Newtown between 1933 and 1936. A front row forward, formerly from St. George rugby, Tupper won a premiership with Newtown Jets, Newtown, playing in the 1933 NSWRFL season, 1933 Grand Final winning team. After being banned during 1935 due to the residential qualification rules of the time, Tupper refused the NSWRFL request that he transfer to the new Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Canterbury-Bankstown rugby league team. Tupper refused to leave Newtown and sat out the 1935 season, and although he was still listed at Newtown for 1936, he didn't play rugby league again. Coonamble, New South Wales
Coonamble is a town on the central-western plains of New South Wales, Australia. It lies on the Castlereagh Highway north-west of Gilgandra. At the 2016 Australian census, 2016 census, Coonamble had a population of 2,750. It is the regional hub for wheat growing and sheep and wool. The name for the town is taken from the Gamilaraay word ''guna'' (faeces) and ''-bil'' (having much). Brigidine Sisters, Brigidine nuns from Ireland established a school in 1883. The Newtown Jets are an Australian rugby league football club based in Newtown, New South Wales, Newtown, a suburb of Inner West (Sydney), Sydney's inner west. The 1933 NSWRFL season was the twenty-sixth season of Sydney’s professional rugby league club competition, Australia’s first. Eight teams from across the city contested the New South Wales Rugby Football League premiership during the season, which lasted from April until September, and culminated in Newtown’s victory over St. George in the final. The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are an Australian professional rugby league club based in Belmore, a suburb in the Canterbury-Bankstown region of Sydney. They compete in the NRL Telstra Premiership, as well as competitions facilitated by the New South Wales Rugby League, including the NSW Cup, the Jersey Flegg Cup, NSWRL Women's Premiership, Tarsha Gale Cup, S.
