Sparks is a city in Washoe County, Nevada, United States. It was founded in 1904, incorporated on March 15, 1905, and is located just east of Reno. Interstate 80 (I-80) traverses the northern portion of the US state of Nevada. State Route 439 (SR 439) is a four-lane state highway in Lyon, Storey and Washoe Counties in Nevada. Better known as USA Parkway, the route connects U.S. Route 50 (US 50) in Silver Springs to Interstate 80 (I-80) in Clark via the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center (TRIC). Lockwood is an unincorporated community on the northern edge of Storey County, Nevada, United States, about east of Reno and Sparks. Lockwood is part of the Reno-Sparks Metropolitan Area. Description The community of Lockwood lies between the Truckee River on the north and the Virginia Range on the south. It is connected to the Reno-Sparks area by a bridge over the Truckee River on Canyon Way that connects the area with an interchange (Exit 22) on Interstate 80 (across the Washoe County line). Gigafactory Nevada (also known as Giga Nevada or Gigafactory 1) is a lithium-ion battery and electric vehicle component factory in Storey County, Nevada, US. The facility, located east of Reno, is owned and operated by Tesla, Inc., and supplies the battery packs for the company's electric vehicles (except vehicles produced at Giga Shanghai). If fully built out, the building will have the largest footprint in the world.
