Claire Steels
Claire Steels (born 9 November 1986) grew up in the market town of Bourne, Lincolnshire in the United Kingdom. After completing education at Bourne Grammar School and University of Hull. Steels became a British professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's World Tour Team, . In 2019, Steels took the overall classification, and a time trial stage win, at Rás na mBan. Steels competed in the 2023 edition of the British National Road Race Championships. After finding herself in a front group of nine riders, she attacked on Skelton Green to reduce the selection to seven. When eventual winner Pfeiffer Georgi attacked from the group on the final descent of the race, Steels was able to move away from the remaining riders, finishing as runner-up. Tour Cycliste Féminin International de l'Ardèche is a women's staged cycle race which takes place in the Ardèche region in southeastern France. The race was rated by the UCI as a 2.2 race, until 2018 when it was promoted to 2.1 status. Following the collapse of the Tour de l'Aude Cycliste Féminin and the Route de France Féminine races in 2010 and 2016 respectively, the Tour de l'Ardèche became the only international level multi day stage race for women in France. Rás Na MBan
Rás na mBan is an international stage cycle road race for women in Ireland. It was first run in 2006 and has run annually since. The event began as a two-day race based in Dublin and became a three-day event in 2008 when it moved to a new base in Sneem, County Kerry. A further two days were added in 2011 when it became a five-day race with six stages. The race was based in County Clare from 2013 to 2015. The race then moved to Kilkenny in 2016. Pfeiffer Zara Georgi (born 27 September 2000) is an English professional racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . She won the 2021 British National Road Race Championships. In 2017 she won the Gent–Wevelgem junior race and came second overall in the EPZ Omloop van Borsele. In 2018, she won the junior races Trofeo Da Moreno (junior race of Trofeo Alfredo Binda), Healthy Ageing Tour, and Watersley Ladies Challenge. In September 2021, she took her first professional win at La Choralis Fourmies Feminine in France, and the following month Georgi won the women's road race in the National Road Championships. The reVolta is an annual professional women's road bicycle racing event in Catalonia, Spain. First held in 2018, it was initially organised on the same day as the last stage of the Volta a Catalunya. However, as there is another -more important- race scheduled on the same date, it has since been organised independently. American cyclist Lauren Stephens won the first edition. History reVolta's first edition was held March 25, 2018, the same date that the men's Volta a Catalunya's last stage was scheduled. 118 cyclists started the race, which would last 45 minutes plus an extra lap at a 3.85km circuit around the Montjuïc mountain, in Barcelona.
