Claim The Throne
Claim the Throne are a melodic death band with strong folk metal influence, from Perth, Western Australia. In 2008 they released their debut album ''Only the Brave Return'' that also included a matching fantasy novel written by the band members. 2009 saw the release of their EP ''Ale Tales through'' Prime Cuts Music, which also featured a DVD including a music video and behind the scenes footage the ''Only the Brave Return'' release party. The music took a change in direction with fast up-beat songs short in length. The track 'Set Sail on Ale' was used for the band's first music video, and was nominated for the WAM Song of the Year in the Heavy category. In June 2010 they embarked on an Australian national tour as the main support for Scottish pirate metal band Alestorm, and in March 2011 they were the main support for Finnish folk metal band Finntroll. Perth is the capital and largest city of the Australian state of Western Australia. Catamenia (band)
Catamenia is a Finnish black metal band founded in 1995 by Riku Hopeakoski and Mika Tönning in Oulu. They have been signed to Massacre Records since their first full-length release '' Halls of Frozen North'' in 1998. As of 2010, they have released nine albums, one EP, and one DVD. They are known for frequent usage of wolves in their album art, but the band is named after a kind of bird. Dyscord were an Australian metalcore band from Perth. In 2006 they released their debut extended play, ''Arming Within'', through independent label Prime Cuts and toured Australia supporting international bands, God Forbid and The Black Dahlia Murder. Fleshgod Apocalypse is an Italian symphonic death metal band. Formed in 2007, the group resides in Perugia and are currently signed to Nuclear Blast. They have released five full-length albums. History Formation and ''Oracles'' (2007–2009) Fleshgod Apocalypse was formed in April 2007 by Francesco Paoli (formerly frontman of the band Hour of Penance). Moonsorrow
Moonsorrow is a Finnish pagan metal band formed in Helsinki in 1995. Musically, the band incorporates elements of black metal and folk metal in their sound. The band call their sound "epic heathen metal" and try to distance themselves from the term "Viking metal". They have distanced themselves from other folk metal bands, emphasising that their music is pagan and spiritual and is challenging for its listeners, rather than happy or danceable. The band members have varying levels of pagan belief but they draw on pagan spirituality for lyrics and inspiration.
