Timiș County
Timiș () is a county ('' județ'') of western Romania on the border with Hungary and Serbia, in the historical region of Banat, with the county seat at Timișoara. It is the westernmost and the largest county in Romania in terms of land area. The county is also part of the Danube–Criș–Mureș–Tisa Euroregion. Ohaba Lungă (formerly Ohaba Românească; hu, Hosszúszabadi; german: Langenau) is a commune in Timiș County, Romania. It is composed of four villages: Dubești, Ierșnic, Ohaba Lungă (commune seat) and Ohaba Română. Ohaba Lungă is one of the poorest and least populated communes in Timiș County. History The first recorded mention of Ohaba Lungă dates from 1440. In 1447 it belonged to Arad County and was the property of Miklós Bánffy. Between 1597–1620 the commune comes into the successive possession of several noblemen, following royal donations (István Török, István Bethlen). In the Turkish defters from the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th century it is mentioned as ''Oláh-Ohaba'' or "Romanian Ohaba", which proves the continuity of the Romanian character of the settlement. Bethausen
Bethausen ( hu, Bethlenháza; german: Bethausen; Banat Swabian: ''Pettlenhaas''; often Romanianized Betleaz) is a commune in Timiș County, Romania. It is composed of six villages: Bethausen (commune seat), Cladova, Cliciova, Cutina, Leucușești and Nevrincea. Geography Bethausen is located in the northeast of Timiș County, on the right bank of Bega River, 26 km from Lugoj and 20 km from Făget. The relief is characterized by the predominance of the smooth surfaces of the Banat Plain, which extends as a gulf into the hills on Bega Valley. In the north, the commune's territory includes the last extensions of the Lipova Piedmont, and in the southeast the Făget Hills, located at the foot of the Poiana Ruscă Massif, from which they are separated by a chain of contact micro-depressions.
