Cizrespor is a sports club located in Cizre, a Kurdish populated city in the province of Şırnak, Turkey. Cizrespor was founded in 1972 and closed in 2010. Cizre Basraspor was founded in 2010 and adopted the name Cizrespor later on. After its foundation, the club started competing in Mardin amateur leagues. In 2014–15 season, they became the champions and promoted to the Third League again. In September 2014, Serge Djiéhoua signed for Cizrespor because he thought it was the Süper Lig team, Çaykur Rizespor. When he arrived at the airport, he was surprised to be greeted by Cizrespor fans instead of Rizespor fans. It was the moment he realized he signed for the wrong team. He left the club after the 2014 Kobanî protests. In 2014–15 Turkish Cup, they managed to beat Göztepe to be the first amateur team in competition history to reach the group stage. The 2014–15 Turkish Cup ( tr, Türkiye Kupası) is the 53rd season of the Turkish Cup. Ziraat Bankası is the sponsor of the tournament, thus the sponsored name is Ziraat Turkish Cup. Serge Pacôme Djiéhoua (born September 25, 1983, in Abidjan) is an Ivorian footballer who plays as a forward for Sarayköy Spor. Career On 24 August 2008, he made his debut for Antalyaspor against Beşiktaş JK in the Süper Lig, scoring his team's second goal in a losing effort. Çaykur Rizespor Kulübü is a Turkish professional football club based in Rize. The club play in the TFF First League. The club was founded on May 19, 1953, with green-yellow as club colours, but later changed to blue-green. 2014 Kobanî Protests
The 2014 Kobanî protests in Turkey are large-scale rallies by pro-People's Defense Units (YPG) protestors in Turkey in autumn 2014, as a spillover of the crisis in Kobanî. Large demonstrations unfolded in Turkey, and quickly descended into violence between protesters and the Turkish police. Several military incidents between Turkish forces and militants of the Youth Wing of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in south-eastern Turkey, contributed to the escalation. Protests then spread to various cities in Turkey. Protesters were met with tear gas and water cannons, and initially 12 people were killed. A total of 31 people were killed in subsequent protesting up to 14 October. Şırnak
Şırnak ( ku, شرنەخ, Şirnex) is a town in southeastern Turkey. It is the capital of Şırnak Province, a new province that split from the Mardin and Siirt provinces. The Habur border gate with Iraq which is one of Turkey's main links to Arab countries is also on Şırnak. The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), officially known as Spor Toto Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish professional league for association football clubs. It is the top-flight of the Turkish football league system and is run by the Turkish Football Federation. In the 2022–23 season, nineteen clubs compete, where a champion is decided and three clubs are promoted from, and relegated to the 1. Lig. The season runs from August to May, with each club playing 36 matches. Matches are played Friday through Monday. The competition was initially established in 1923.
