Civil Action (Italy)
Civil Revolution ( it, Rivoluzione Civile, RC) was a left-wing coalition of political parties in Italy. The coalition was headed by Antonio Ingroia, a former anti- mafia prosecutor of Palermo from 1992 to 2012 and then director of a UN investigation into illegal drug trade in Guatemala in 2012. The foundation of RC was preceded by the manifesto ''Io ci sto'', presented by Ingroia on 21 December in Rome. Among the signatories of this appeal were Franco Battiato, Fiorella Mannoia, Luigi de Magistris, Leoluca Orlando, Milly Moratti, Massimiliano Bruno, Max Paiella, Sabina Guzzanti, Vauro and Enrico Fierro. The coalition had an anti-corruption platform. In the 2013 general election the party obtained 2.2% of the vote, returning no seats in the Italian Parliament. Antonio Ingroia
Antonio Ingroia (born 31 March 1959) is an Italian lawyer, ex magistrate, politician and leader of Civil Revolution, with Luigi de Magistris, the mayor of Naples. Ingroia is also the director of a United Nations investigation against narcotraffic in Guatemala. He is also a writer and contributes regular columns to the daily newspaper ''Il Fatto Quotidiano''. Biography Antonio Ingroia was born in Palermo, the capital city of Sicily, Italy. In 1987 Ingroia started to cooperate in the Antimafia pool of Giovanni Falcone and Paolo Borsellino, two Italian magistrates who were killed in 1992 by the Mafia. Italian Parliament
The Italian Parliament ( it, Parlamento italiano) is the national parliament of the Italian Republic. It is the representative body of Italian citizens and is the successor to the Parliament of the Kingdom of Italy (1861–1943), the transitional National Council (1945–1946) and the Constituent Assembly (1946–1948). 2013 Italian General Election
The 2013 Italian general election was held on 24 and 25 February 2013 to determine the 630 members of the Chamber of Deputies and the 315 elective members of the Senate of the Republic for the 17th Italian Parliament. The centre-left alliance Italy Common Good, led by the Democratic Party (PD), obtained a clear majority of seats in the Chamber of Deputies thanks to a majority bonus that effectively trebled the number of seats assigned to the winning force and narrowly defeated the centre-right alliance of former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi in the popular vote. Political corruption is the use of powers by government officials or their network contacts for illegitimate private gain. Vauro Senesi (born 24 March 1955) is an Italian journalist and satirical cartoonist. Vauro was born in Pistoia. He was Pino Zac's apprentice, and, together with Giancarlo Fusco, Cinzia Leone and others, in September 1978 they founded ''Il Male'', a satirical weekly newspaper. It was published until March 1982. His cartoons have been published in magazines such as ''Satyricon'', ''Linus'', ''Cuore'', ''I quaderni del Sale'', ''L'Echo des Savanes'' and ''El Jueves''. Leoluca Orlando (born 1 August 1947), is an Italian politician, Mayor of Palermo for over twenty years and President of Italian Federation of American Football (FIDAF).
