''The Wedge'' is a defunct Canadian television series devoted to indie and alternative music, which aired on Canadian music TV station MuchMusic from 1992 to 2014. The program, which debuted in 1992 as a Monday to Friday half-hour series, was originally hosted by Simon Evans. In 1995, Sook-Yin Lee became the host, and remained with the program until her departure from MuchMusic in 2001. At this time, with alternative rock having undergone a commercial decline, the program was reduced to a weekly airing on Friday evenings. The program had no permanent host for the next decade, serving primarily as a continuous "videoflow", although musicians occasionally appeared as guest hosts of a special episode. Nudity is the state of being in which a human is without clothing. The loss of body hair was one of the physical characteristics that marked the biological evolution of modern humans from their hominin ancestors. Adaptations related to hairlessness contributed to the increase in brain size, bipedalism, and the variation in human skin color. Mitsou Annie Marie Gélinas (born September 1, 1970, in Loretteville, Quebec) is a Canadian pop singer, businesswoman, television and radio host, and actress. She is credited as Mitsou Gélinas when acting, but records simply as Mitsou (the French spelling of ''Mitsu'', which means honey in Japanese). The CASBY Awards were a Canadian awards ceremony for independent and alternative music, presented annually by Toronto, Ontario radio station CFNY, currently branded as 102.1 The Edge. CASBY is an acronym for Canadian Artists Selected By You. The awards were first presented in 1981 under the name U-Knows, a pun on Canada's mainstream Juno Awards.
