''Five Suspects'' (german: Fünf unter Verdacht, translation=''Five Under Suspicion'') is a 1950 West German crime film directed by Kurt Hoffmann and starring Hans Nielsen, Dorothea Wieck and Friedrich Schoenfelder.Bergfelder p. 148 It is also known by the alternative title of ''City in the Fog''. The film's sets were designed by the art directors Franz Bi and Botho Hoefer. It was shot at the Spandau Studios in Berlin. Kurt Hoffmann (12 November 1910 – 25 June 2001) was a German film director, the son of Carl Hoffmann. He directed 48 films between 1938 and 1971. He ran a production company Independent Film along with Heinz Angermeyer. His 1958 film ''Wir Wunderkinder'' was entered into the 1st Moscow International Film Festival and his 1960 film '' The Haunted Castle'' was entered into the 2nd Moscow International Film Festival where it won the Silver Prize. Gunnar Möller
Gunnar Möller (1 July 1928 – 16 May 2017) was a German television and film actor. He appeared in over 160 film and television productions between 1940 and 2016. He was most successful as a leading man in German cinema of the 1950s, especially with his role in ''I Often Think of Piroschka'' (1955) with Liselotte Pulver. He later turned to character roles and worked for a number of years in England, including the supporting role of Hans van Broecken in World War II drama series '' Secret Army'' . He was married to the actress Brigitte Rau until her death in 1979, when he killed her during an argument in London. Blandine Ebinger (born Blandine Loeser) (4 November 1899, in Berlin – 25 December 1993, in Berlin) was a German actress and ''chansonniere''. Career Ebinger became acquainted with Friedrich Hollaender in 1919, and with him she became heavily invested as a performer, writer, and composer in the Berlin cabaret scene in the 1920s, beginning in the cabaret and the Café des Westens.
