Citizen AA
The Citizen Athletic Association (), simply known as Citizen or TCAA, is a Hong Kong athletic club. Its football team () currently competes in the Hong Kong First Division. The club has a long history in playing in the top-tier Hong Kong First Division, but decided to self-relegate in the 2013–14 season after declining to participate in the newly established Hong Kong Premier League. The club plays its home matches at Happy Valley Recreation Ground. Recent history 2007–08 season Citizen won the 2007–08 Hong Kong FA Cup. The club beat Tai Po in the final by 2:0. 2009–10 season Due to Mong Kok Stadium's renovation, Citizen used the Siu Sai Wan Sports Ground in the 2009–10 season for its home games. Former South China striker Detinho joined the club. 2010–11 season Citizen won the 2010–11 Senior Shield by beating South China in the final after penalty kicks, thus earning the club the right to represent Hong Kong in the 2012 AFC Cup. Happy Valley Racecourse
The Happy Valley Racecourse is one of the two racecourses for horse racing and is a tourist attraction in Hong Kong. It is located in Happy Valley on Hong Kong Island, surrounded by Wong Nai Chung Road and Morrison Hill Road. The capacity of the venue is 55,000. History It was first built in 1845 to provide horse racing for the British people in Hong Kong. The area was previously swampland, but the only flat ground suitable for horse racing on Hong Kong Island. To make way for the racecourse, Hong Kong Government prohibited rice growing by villages in the surrounding area. The first race ran in December 1846. Over the years, horse racing became more and more popular among the Chinese residents. On 26 February 1918, a temporary grandstand collapsed, knocking over hot food stalls that set bamboo matting ablaze. In the fire that ensued at least 590 people died. Michael Xavier Campion (born ) is a former Hong Kong professional footballer who played as a midfielder. He is of English and Filipino descent. Club career HKFC Campion played part-time football for HKFC while working as a wine importer. He scored his first league goal in HKFC's 2:4 defeat by Rangers. He scored his second goal against Kitchee in the final match of the season. Citizen He gave up his full-time job to concentrate on his football career upon joining Citizen. Campion claimed that he had a stable job working for a wine importer with good income. Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield
The Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield (), known commonly as the Senior Shield, is the football knockout inter-club competition held in Hong Kong and the fourth oldest football tournament in Asia. Traditionally, only the teams in the Hong Kong Premier League are entered into the competition. However, on occasion teams in lower divisions, usually the champions of the Junior Shield, are invited in order to increase the number of participating teams. Hong Kong Second Division League
Hong Kong Second Division League () is the third level of football league in Hong Kong founded in 1909. The top two teams are promoted to the Hong Kong First Division. Competition format * Each team plays the other teams twice, one home and one away game. The ticket profits go to the home team. If there are two matches in the same stadium on the day, the profits are shared between the two home teams. * Since most of the teams do not have a home ground, the matches will be playing on different grounds. The 2007–08 Hong Kong First Division League season was the 96th since its establishment. The first match was played on 2 September 2007 with South China lost to Kitchee 1–2. In this season, the First Division League was composed of 10 teams. Sun Hei Sports Club () is a Hong Kong football club which currently competes in the Hong Kong Third Division. The club has a long history in playing in the top flight, but decided to self-relegate in the 2013–14 season after declining to participate in the newly established Hong Kong Premier League. History Sun Hei entered the Hong Kong First Division under the name Golden () in the 1994–95 season. In 1996, Golden under the name Golden XI played against England. Tsing Yi Sports Ground
Tsing Yi Sports Ground () is a sports ground in Tsing Yi, New Territories, Hong Kong. It is located near the east coast of the island, between Tivoli Garden and Tsing Yi Swimming Pool. It is the home of Hong Kong Premier League club Resources Capital FC, Resources Capital. The stadium consists of a Tartan track and a Association football pitch, football pitch. Opening hours 6:15 am to 10:30 pm every day.Leisure and Cultural Services Department
The pitch is closed for maintenance every Wednesday, however the track remains open for public use.
