Circus (Eraserheads Album)
''Circus'' (stylized ''CiRcuS'') is the second studio album released by Filipino alternative rock group Eraserheads in 1994. Hits from ''Circus'' are "Alapaap", "Sembreak", "Kailan" (originally a musical number from the play ''Manhid'' by Auraeus Solito), " Magasin", and " With a Smile". It is also the last album of the band with singles released in the vinyl record format. The album was reissued by Sony-BMG Entertainment in 2006. This is the first album that uses an inverted letter E, a notable trademark of the band. The album cover was created by visual artist Mark Justiniani. The original artwork is now with the artist’s son. "Wating" is the theme song for the 1994 Filipino movie of the same name, starring Richard Gomez and Carmina Villaroel. It does not appear on the original cassette release. The last part of the song features Carmina Villaroel on vocals. Eraserheads (sometimes stylized as ERASƎRHEADS or ƎRASƎRHƎADS) are a Filipino alternative rock band formed in 1989. With a line-up comprising Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, Marcus Adoro, and Raimund Marasigan, the band became one of the most influential and successful in the history of Filipino music. Raimund Emmanuel Parcon Marasigan (born May 22, 1971) is a Filipino rock musician and record producer. His first name is often misspelled ''Raymond'' or ''Raimond'' though he personally prefers to spell his name as Raymund. The breadth of his projects has made him one of the most well-respected mainstays of the Philippine rock band scene. Auraeus Solito, also known as Kanakan-Balintagos, is a Palawán-Filipino filmmaker and indigenous peoples rights advocate who comes from a lineage of shaman-kings from the Palawán tribe. He was one of the first to be born outside of his tribal land of South Palawan. Hector Avanceña Zabala (born November 13, 1971), popularly known as Buddy Zabala, is a Filipino musician and producer. He is currently the bassist of Filipino pop band Moonstar88 and indie band Cambio, and widely known as the bassist and backing vocalist of the alternative rock band, Eraserheads.
