Aeroparque Jorge Newbery
Jorge Newbery Airfield ( es, link=no, Aeroparque "Jorge Newbery", ), commonly known as Aeroparque, is an international airport northeast of downtown Buenos Aires, Argentina. The airport covers an area of and is operated by ''Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 S.A.'' It is located along the Río de la Plata, in the Palermo neighbourhood, and serves as the main hub for domestic flights in Argentina and South American destinations. History The airport was originally proposed by Mayor Carlos Noël in 1925. A number of feasibility studies and zoning disputes followed. In 1938, plans were submitted for an island airport connected via causeway to Avenida General Paz (then under construction). 1936 Buenos Aires Grand Prix
October 18, 1936 - The first Buenos Aires Grand Prix (official name: I Gran Premio Ciudad de Buenos Aires), was a Fuerza Libre race, run at the Costanera Norte circuit in three elimination heats and 1 final of 30 laps (2,65 km = 79,5 km), qualifying the top 11 drivers for the final. The entry list consisted of South American drivers. Heat 1 was won by Enrique Moyano (Ford), Heat 2 by Brazilian Manoel de Teffé (Alfa Romeo) and Zatuszek (Mercedes Benz) won the third. Argentinian drivers dominated the final with Arzani placing first, Zatuszek second and Brosutti taking third on the podium to give Argentina a triple victory. The Alfa Romeo 8C was originally a range of Alfa Romeo road, Auto racing, race and sports cars of the 1930s. In 2004 Alfa Romeo revived the 8C name for a V8-engined concept car which made it into production for 2007, the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, 8C Competizione. The 8C designates 8 cylinders, and originally a straight-8, straight 8-cylinder engine. The Vittorio Jano designed 8C was Alfa Romeo's primary racing engine from its introduction in 1931 to its retirement in 1939. In addition to the two-seater sports cars it was used in the world's first genuine Open wheel car, single-seat Grand Prix racing car, the Alfa Romeo P3, Monoposto 'Tipo B' - P3 from 1932 onwards. Carlos Arzani (27 November 1909 – 30 January 1952) was an Argentine driver, born in Buenos Aires, who raced private Alfa Romeos, mostly in South America. Hudson Motor Car Company
The Hudson Motor Car Company made Hudson and other branded automobiles in Detroit, Michigan, U.S., from 1909 until 1954. In 1954, Hudson merged with Nash-Kelvinator to form American Motors Corporation (AMC). The Hudson name was continued through the 1957 model year, after which it was discontinued. Company strategy The name "Hudson" came from Joseph L. Hudson, a Detroit department store entrepreneur and founder of Hudson's department store, who provided the necessary capital and gave permission for the company to be named after him. A total of eight Detroit businessmen formed the company on February 20, 1909, to produce an automobile which would sell for less than US$1,000 (equivalent to approximately $ in funds). Delage
Delage was a French luxury automobile and racecar company founded in 1905 by Louis Delâge in Levallois-Perret near Paris; it was acquired by Delahaye in 1935 and ceased operation in 1953. On 7 November 2019, the association "Les Amis de Delage", created in 1956 and owner of the Delage brand, announced the re-founding of the company Delage Automobiles.
