CIRANO (Centre Interuniversitaire de Recherche en Analyse des Organisations) is a research center that brings together a number of researches from several universities in Montreal (Canada), with the purpose of creation and transfer of knowledge on the analysis of organizations. Montreal ( ; officially Montréal, ) is the List of the largest municipalities in Canada by population, second-most populous city in Canada and List of towns in Quebec, most populous city in the Provinces and territories of Canada, Canadian province of Quebec. Claude Castonguay
Claude Castonguay, (May 8, 1929 – December 12, 2020) was a Canadian politician, educator, and businessman. Career Born in Quebec City, Quebec, the son of Émile Castonguay and Jeanne Gauvin, he studied science at Université Laval, followed by actuary science at the University of Manitoba. He taught at Université Laval from 1951 until 1957. He was elected in the 1970 Quebec election to the National Assembly of Quebec in the riding of Louis-Hebert. He served as Minister of Health, Family and Social Welfare. He did not run in 1973. In 1978, he was the President-elect of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. From 1982 until 1989, he was the chief executive officer of the Laurentian Group Corporation and president of the Laurentian Bank of Canada. From 1989 to 1990, he was the chairman of the Conference Board of Canada. He was the Chancellor of the Université de Montréal from 1986 until 1990. Alain Dubuc is a journalist and an economist from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He is a columnist for Montreal's '' La Presse'', Quebec City's '' Le Soleil'' and five other dailies in Quebec. He is a notable advocate of centre-right fiscal politics and federalism in Quebec. Biography Alain Dubuc is the son of journalist Carl Dubuc. He earned a French baccalaureat at Collège Stanislas, an elite Roman Catholic private school. He went on to earn a master's degree in economics at the Université de Montréal. Monique Jérôme-Forget (born August 8, 1940) is a psychologist and a former Quebec politician. She was the National Assembly of Quebec, Member of National Assembly (MNA) for the riding of Marguerite-Bourgeoys (provincial electoral district), Marguerite-Bourgeois in the Montreal region as a member of the Quebec Liberal Party between 1998 and 2009. Robert Lacroix
Robert Lacroix, (born April 15, 1940) is a professor of economics at the Université de Montréal in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. After finishing his Ph.D. in economics at Leuven, in Belgium, in 1970, he became professor at the Department of Economics of the Université de Montréal. Throughout his career, he published many articles in peer-reviewed journals, mainly in the field of labor economics. From 1987 to 1993, he served as Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at the Université de Montréal. He served as Rector of the university from 1998 until 2005. Claude Montmarquette (20 December 1942 – 8 September 2021) was a Canadian economist. He taught at the Université de Montréal for several decades. Biography Montmarquette studied at the Université de Montréal and earned a degree in economic sciences. He then earned a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. He became a researcher at CIRANO and at the ''Centre de recherche en développement économique''. He became a member of the Royal Society of Canada in 1998 for his contributions to the fields of experimental economics and applied econometrics.
