Cindy Thompson
Cindy Thompson (now Cindy Quainoo) is a veteran Ghanaian Gospel music, gospel musician. She shot to fame with her song "''Awurade Kasa''". The song was subsequently used for political gain by the New Patriotic Party in 2000. Music career Her singing career begun with ministrations in Dansoman, before performing at functions, competitions, and church services. Cindy has five albums to her credit, notable among them being her 1998 "''Onokwafo Nyame''" album and 2000 "''Cindy's Messiah"'' album. She has featured on a number of albums such as one by contemporary musician, Nana Kojo, titled "''Woye Kronkron''". Gospel music is a traditional genre of Christian music, and a cornerstone of Christian media. Dansoman
Dansoman is a suburban town in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, located near Accra and Takoradi district of the Accra Metropolitan Area. The town is known for being one of the largest estates in West Africa. History The town was founded by the late Nii Kojo Danso I in the late 1960s. The name Danso(man) is derived from the founder's name Danso, somewhere in the 60s the city was named after him, Danso(man) "man" meaning town in Ga.
