Cigarillos
A cigarillo (from Spanish language, Spanish ''cigarrillo'', meaning "cigarette", in turn from ''cigarro'' ("cigar") + ''-illo'' (diminutive suffix), pronounced in parts of Latin America or in Spain) is a short, narrow cigar. Unlike cigarettes, cigarillos are wrapped in tobacco leaves or brown, tobacco-based paper. Cigarillos are smaller than regular cigars but usually larger than cigarettes. Cigarillos are usually made without cigarette filter, filters, and are meant to be smoked like a cigar and not inhaled (except those made in this form only for specific tax issues). Generally, a cigarillo contains about three grams of tobacco; the length varies from and the diameter is about 6–9 mm, usually 8 mm. Dannemann
Dannemann Cigars (Dannemann Cigarrenfabrik in German) was founded by Gerhard Dannemann. He was born on 23 April 1851 in Bremen and died in 1921. A German-Brazilian entrepreneur and founder of the cigar company Dannemann, he later changed his name to Geraldo Dannemann. Dannemann also makes the famous cigarillo brand Moods. History The company was founded by Bremen-born entrepreneur Geraldo Dannemann, who emigrated to Brazil in 1872 at the age of 21. In 1873, he opened a cigar factory in the small town of São Félix. Smoking is a practice in which a substance is burned and the resulting smoke is typically breathed in to be tasted and absorbed into the bloodstream. Most commonly, the substance used is the dried leaves of the tobacco plant, which have been rolled into a small rectangle of rolling paper to create a small, round cylinder called a cigarette. Blunt (cigar)
A blunt is a cigar which is wider than a cigarillo and not quite as wide as a Corona, generally equivalent to a ''petit corona'' while ''short panatellas'' are sometimes classified as mini-blunts. These cigars typically consist of two main parts; the inner leaf, which is similar to a cigarette rolling paper, except it is made of tobacco, and a thicker outer leaf which is rolled around the inner leaf in a spiral. In most commercially available blunts, the "leaves" are not actual tobacco leaves but rather paper made from tobacco pulp. Cheroot
The cheroot is a filterless cylindrical cigar with both ends clipped during manufacture. Since cheroots do not taper, they are inexpensive to roll mechanically, and their low cost makes them popular. The word 'cheroot' probably comes via Portuguese language, Portuguese ''charuto'', originally from Tamil language, Tamil ''curuttu/churuttu/shuruttu'' (சுருட்டு), "roll of tobacco". This word could have been absorbed into the French language from Tamil during the 18th century, when the French were trying to stamp their presence in South India.
