Chōshi Electric Railway Line
The is a 6.4 km long railway line operated by the privately owned Chōshi Electric Railway between Chōshi and Tokawa stations in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. It is the Chōshi Electric Railway's only line and is facing declining ridership. The company ventured into selling ''nure-senbei'' (moist ''senbei'' rice crackers) to subsidize its operations, and the profits from confectionery sales are now double those from its railway operations. Service pattern All trains stop at all stations, with trains passing on the single line at Kasagami-Kurohae Station. Since 21 November 2013, one train per hour runs during the daytime. Previously, two to three trains operated per hour throughout the day. In the past, two- or three-car formations were operated on New Year's Day to transport passengers to see the first sunrise of the year at the popular coastal viewing point in Inubōsaki. Keio 3000 Series
The was a DC electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by Keio Corporation on the Keio Inokashira Line in Japan from 1962 until 2011. Design The 3000 series was the first Keio rolling stock to use completely stainless steel body construction. A total of 29 5-car sets (145 cars) were built from 1962 by Tokyu Car, and in 1963, the design was the recipient of the third Laurel Prize presented annually by the Japan Railfan Club. Each trainset featured a livery in one of the seven pastel hues corresponding to a train configuration, a unique feature found only on the Inokashira line. Keio 5000 Series
The is an electric multiple unit (EMU) train type which was formerly operated by Keio Corporation in Japan and first introduced in 1963. Built in batches by Nippon Sharyo, Tokyu Car Corp, and Hitachi, it was the recipient of the fourth Laurel Prize of the Japan Railfan Club. A total of 155 vehicles were built between 1963 and 1969, formed as 23 four-car sets, 13 three-car sets, and 12 two-car sets. Withdrawal and resale Withdrawals started in 1987, with the last remaining non-air-conditioned two-car sets (5101 to 5112) operating until 21 March 1989. The is an electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by the private railway operator Iyo Railway (Iyotetsu) in Matsuyama, Ehime, Japan, since 1987. The is an electric multiple unit (EMU) train type operated by the private railway operator Choshi Electric Railway in Chiba Prefecture, Japan, since March 2016. The sole two-car set was converted from former Iyotetsu 700 series EMU cars, which were themselves converted from former Keio 5000 series EMU cars, and was introduced to replace the Choshi Electric Railway's 1000 series EMU car number 1001, which was withdrawn in February 2016.
