A church, church building or church house is a building used for Christian worship services and other Christian religious activities. The earliest identified Christian church is a house church founded between 233 and 256. From the 11th through the 14th centuries, there was a wave of church construction in Western Europe. Sometimes, the word ''church'' is used by analogy for the buildings of other religions. ''Churches'' is the sixth studio album by American singer-songwriter LP, released on December 3, 2021, through SOTA/Dine Alone. It was produced by Mike Del Rio and co-written by Nate Campany. The album was originally planned for an October 2020 release. It was later announced for October 6, 2021, then postponed to the following month and finally pushed back to December 3. Four additional songs were written throughout the additional 14 months that the album spent in the making. Background LP composed much of the album in San José del Cabo, Mexico. The hotel where she stayed, El Ganzo, is featured in the video for "How Low Can You Go". The singer used all her guitars and ukuleles in Nashville tuning.
