Church Basement Ladies
''Church Basement Ladies'' is a musical comedy, book by Jim Stowell and Jessica Zuehlke, music and lyrics by Drew Jansen. The story is about the ladies that work in the church basement cooking meals for church functions, and is inspired by the humorous book ''Growing Up Lutheran,'' by Janet Letnes Martin and Suzann Nelson. Published in 1997, ''Growing Up Lutheran'' is a "scrapbook of memories" of what it was like to grow up Lutheran in the Midwest in the 1950s. In addition to their bestseller, Martin and Nelson, aka "Those Lutheran Ladies," have written numerous other works, including ''Growing Up Rural,'' published in 2017. Their lives and writings have inspired eight additional ''Church Basement Ladies'' musicals. Plymouth, Minnesota
Plymouth is a city in Hennepin County in the U.S. state of Minnesota. William Christopher
William Christopher (October 20, 1932 December 31, 2016) was an American actor and comedian, best known for playing Private Lester Hummel on ''Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.'' from 1965 to 1968 and Father John Mulcahy on the television series ''M*A*S*H'' from 1972 to 1983 and its spinoff ''AfterMASH'' from 1983 to 1985. Early life Christopher was born in Evanston, Illinois, in a family believed to be descendants of Paul Revere. He spent his youth in several of Chicago's northern suburbs, including Winnetka, Illinois, where he attended New Trier High School. Christopher graduated from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, with a bachelor of arts in drama, focusing on Greek literature. Barry William Blenkhorn (born September 30, 1954), better known by his stage name Barry Williams, is an American actor.
