Kim Chung-ha (, born Kim Chan-mi []; February 9, 1996), known mononym, mononymously as Chungha (stylized as CHUNG HA), is a South Korean Pop music, pop singer, dancer and choreographer signed under MNH Entertainment. She finished fourth in Mnet (TV channel), Mnet's girl group survival show ''Produce 101'', becoming a member of the resulting girl group I.O.I. Following the dissolution of I.O.I in 2017, Chungha debuted as a solo artist with the extended play '' Hands on Me''. Early life Chungha was born as Kim Chan-mi () on February 9, 1996, in Seoul. Under her English name Annie Kim, she lived in Dallas, Texas, for eight years before returning to South Korea to become a singer. As a result, she speaks both English and Korean. MNH Entertainment (Korean: 엠앤에이치엔터테인먼트) is a privately held multinational entertainment group and talent agency based in Seoul. Founded in November 2014 by Lee Ju-seop, a former manager at JYP Entertainment. The company was founded on 18 November 2014 and manages artists such as former I.O.I member and soloist Chungha. ''Hands on Me'' is the debut extended play by South Korean singer Chungha. It was released on June 7, 2017 by MNH Entertainment and distributed by CJ E&M Music. It consists of five songs, including the title track "Why Don't You Know" featuring rapper Nucksal. A music video for the title track was also released on June 7. The EP was a commercial success peaking at number 8 on the Gaon Album Chart. It provides rankings on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, which is based on an aggregate of streaming, downloads and background music from major South Korean music platforms. Studio Blu (Korean: 스튜디오블루) was an in-house label founded in 2018 by Stone Music Entertainment. The label was integrating with CJ ENM other label in August 2021 as Wake One History Studio Blu was founded in 2018, and houses artists such as Heize, Mia, DAVII and Truedy. $ammy joined the company in 2019.
