Chuck MacNeil
Charles Wyndham MacNeil (December 2, 1944 – June 18, 2022) was a Canadian politician. He represented the electoral district of Guysborough in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1984 to 1993. He was a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Nova Scotia. Born in 1944 at New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, he was the son of Edgar William MacNeil and Elizabeth Adelaide (Weir). A graduate of Mount Allison University and Dalhousie University, MacNeil married Elizabeth Alison Fleming in 1966. He practiced as a family physician in Yarmouth and Sherbrooke, Nova Scotia since 1969. From 1982 to 1984, MacNeil served as a municipal councillor for the Municipality of the District of St. Mary's. He entered provincial politics in the 1984 election, defeating Liberal leader Sandy Cameron by 390 votes in the Guysborough riding. MacNeil was re-elected in the 1988 election. New Glasgow is a town in Pictou County, in the province of Nova Scotia, Canada. It is situated on the banks of the East River of Pictou, which flows into Pictou Harbour, a sub-basin of the Northumberland Strait. The town's population was 9,075 in the 2016 census. New Glasgow is at the centre of the province's fourth largest urban area; the population of the New Glasgow census agglomeration in the 2016 census was 34,487. Donald William Cameron
Donald William Cameron (May 20, 1946May 3, 2021) was a Canadian politician who served as the 22nd premier of Nova Scotia from February 1991 to June 1993. He represented the electoral district of Pictou East in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1974 to 1993, as a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Nova Scotia. Following his political career, he was appointed the Canadian Consul General to New England. Early life and education Cameron was born in Egerton, Nova Scotia, on May 20, 1946. His parents were Helen and William David Cameron, and he was raised on their family farm. He graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1968. Ray White is a Canadian former politician. He represented the electoral district of Guysborough-Port Hawkesbury in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1993 to 1999. The Executive Council of Nova Scotia (informally and more commonly, the Cabinet of Nova Scotia) is the cabinet of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. Almost always made up of members of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly, the Cabinet is similar in structure and role to the Canadian Cabinet while being smaller in size with different portfolios. The Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, as representative of the King in Right of Nova Scotia, heads the council, and is referred to as the Governor-in-Council.
