Chuck Hartman
Chuck Hartman (December 20, 1934 – November 2, 2020) was an American baseball coach who was the head coach at Virginia Tech from 1979 until 2006. He completed his 47-year coaching career with the fourth most wins as coach in Division I baseball history. His record was 1,444–816–8, including a 961–591–8 mark in his 28 seasons at Tech. Coach Hartman was the second Virginia Tech baseball coach to be inducted into the American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame, in 2004. He is a member of 5 halls of fame including the Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Fame, in which he was inducted in 2002. He died on November 2, 2020. Blacksburg is an incorporated town in Montgomery County, Virginia, United States, with a population of 44,826 at the 2020 census. North Carolina Tar Heels Baseball
The North Carolina Tar Heels baseball team, commonly referred to as Carolina, represents the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in NCAA Division I college baseball. They compete in the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Tar Heels play their home games on campus at Boshamer Stadium, and are currently coached by Scott Forbes. High Point Panthers
The High Point Panthers are the 16 varsity athletic teams that represent High Point University (HPU) in High Point, North Carolina, United States. All of HPU's varsity teams compete at the NCAA Division I level. All sports except men's lacrosse compete in the Big South Conference. The men's lacrosse team joined the Southern Conference July 1, 2014. The Panthers joined Division I in 1999, after having been NCAA Division II and being members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) prior to 1992.
