Chuck Gipp
Charles R. "Chuck" Gipp (born November 30, 1947) is an American politician in the state of Iowa. A Republican, he served in the Iowa House of Representatives for the 31st district from 1990 to 2003 and for the 16th district from 2003 to 2009. He was the majority leader in the Iowa House from 2003 to 2007, when the Democrats recaptured the legislature in the 2006 elections. Early life Gipp was born on November 30, 1947, in Decorah, Iowa. His parents were Alvin and Jeanette Gipp. He graduated from Thomas Roberts High School in 1966 and received his bachelor's of arts degree from Luther College in 1977. The next year, he married J. Henry Rayhons
Henry V. Rayhons (born May 8, 1936) was the Iowa State Representative from the 8th District. A Republican, he served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1997 through 2015, representing the 16th District from 1997 to 2003 and the 11th District from 2003 to 2013. In 2014, Rayhons announced he would not seek reelection to another term. Biography Rayhons was born in Garner, Iowa. His father, Henry, Sr. was a farmer and his mother, Agnes, was a homemaker. The Iowa Democratic Party (IDP) is the affiliate of the Democratic Party in the U.S. state of Iowa. While existing when Iowa was granted statehood in 1846, it did not gain broad electoral success until the mid-1950s, when demographic changes resulted in many new voters for the party from immigrants, union members, and industrial workers.
