Christy Moylan
Christopher "Christy" Moylan (4 December 1914 - 6 August 1996) was an Irish hurler who played for his local club Dungarvan and at senior level for the Waterford county team from 1935 until 1949. Playing career Club Moylan played his club hurling with his local club in Dungarvan, and won a senior county title with the club in 1941. This was Dungarvan's last victory in the county championship. Inter-county Moylan first joined the Waterford inter-county squad in the 1930s. He made his senior debut with the team in 1935. In 1938, Moylan lined out in his first Munster final. The game saw Clare providing the opposition. In a close game, Waterford emerged as the victors on a score line of 3–5 to 2–5. Not only was it Moylan's first Munster Senior Hurling Championship medal, but it was also the first time that Waterford had won the provincial title. Dungarvan GAA
Dungarvan GAA is a GAA club based in Dungarvan, County Waterford, Republic of Ireland. The club participates in both hurling and Gaelic football. The club currently heads the roll of honour in the Waterford Senior Football Championship with a total of 19 wins. The club attracted significant national attention in 2020 when a player competed in the final of the Waterford Intermediate Football Championship despite awaiting the result of a COVID-19 test, which returned a positive result. This led to Dungarvan (that year's competition-winning club) being stripped of the title. Eddie Daly
Eddie Daly (born 1918) was an Irish hurler who played as a full-forward for the Waterford senior team. Born in Lismore, County Waterford, Daly first played competitive hurling in his youth. He joined the Waterford senior team during the 1938 championship. Daly subsequently became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won one All-Ireland medal and one Munster medal. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Daly won three Railway Cup medals. At club level he was a two-time championship medallist with University College Dublin. Cork County Hurling Team
The Cork county hurling team represents Cork in hurling and is governed by Cork GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in the three major annual inter-county competitions; the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Munster Senior Hurling Championship and the National Hurling League. Paddy "Fox" Collins (12 April 1903 – 17 February 1995) was an Irish hurler who played as a left corner-back for the Cork senior team. Born in Kinsale, County Cork, Collins first played competitive hurling during his schooling at The North Monastery. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of twenty-five when he first linked up with the Cork senior team. He made his senior debut during the 1928 championship. Collins immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen, and won two All-Ireland medals, two Munster medals and one National Hurling League medal. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Collins won one Railway Cup medal. At club level he was a seven-time championship medallist with Glen Rovers. Tommy Doyle (Tipperary Hurler)
Thomas Doyle (8 February 1915 – 5 February 1988) was an Irish hurler who played as a left wing-back for the Tipperary senior team. Born in Thurles, County Tipperary, Doyle first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Tipperary minor team, before later joining the junior side. He made his senior debut in the 1936–37 National League. Doyle went on to enjoy a seventeen-year inter-county career, and won five All-Ireland medals, six Munster medals and two National Hurling League medals. Doyle represented the Munster inter-provincial team at various times, winning three Railway Cup medals on the field of play. At club level he won seven championship medals with Thurles Sarsfields. Jim Langton
James Langton (18 January 1918 – 18 April 1987) was an Irish hurler who usually played as a left wing-forward for the Kilkenny senior team. Born in Gowran, County Kilkenny, Phelan first played competitive hurling whilst at school in Kilkenny CBS. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of seventeen when he first linked up with the Kilkenny minor team. He made his senior debut in the 1938 championship. Langton went on to play a key part for Kilkenny during a lean era for the county, and won two All-Ireland medals and seven Leinster medals. He was an All-Ireland runner-up on three occasions. As a member of the Leinster inter-provincial team for fourteen years, Langton won two Railway Cup medals. At club level he won four championship medal with Éire Óg. Michael John Mackey (12 July 1912 – 13 September 1982) was an Irish hurler who played as a centre-forward at senior level for the Limerick county team.
