Christopher Wesley
Christopher George Wesley (born 23 June 1987) is a German former field hockey player who played as a midfielder or forward. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed for the national team in the men's tournament. Career Wesley played his whole career for Nürnberger HTC in the German Bundesliga The Bundesliga (; ), sometimes referred to as the Fußball-Bundesliga () or 1. German Hockey Federation
The German Hockey Federation (german: Deutscher Hockey-Bund or DHB) is the national governing body for field (and indoor) hockey in Germany. It was founded in 1909 in Bonn. It is situated in Mönchengladbach and had 66,145 members on 1 January 2006. The body is built by the club which are organised in subdivisions on the level of the States of Germany, ''Bundesländer''. The association itself is member of the DOSB (Deutscher Olympischer Sportbund), the European Hockey Federation, EHF and the International Hockey Federation, FIH. Feldhockey Bundesliga (Men's Field Hockey)
The Feldhockey Bundesliga is the top level of men's field hockey in Germany and is managed by the German Hockey Federation. The league currently ranks first in the men's European league rankings. It was established in 1937. Format The season starts in August or September and is interrupted by the indoor hockey season from November to March. From April the outdoor season will be continued. Since the 2011–12 season the league was played by twelve teams who played each other twice and who competed for four spots in the championship play-offs. The number one and four and the number two and three played each other in the semi-final and winners qualified for the final where the winner was crowned champion. The two last-placed teams were relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga. For the 2019–20 season the German Hockey Federation introduced a new format.
