Christopher McVey
Christopher Donald McVey (born 12 April 1997) is a Swedish footballer who plays as a defender for Major League Soccer club D.C. United. Club career McVey started his career as a youth player at Sparsörs AIK and later joined IF Elfsborg at the age of 12 and its A-team in 2017. On 4 March 2019, McVey joined Superettan side Dalkurd on loan until 15 July 2019. On 14 January 2022, McVey signed a three-year deal with Major League Soccer club Inter Miami. On 1 February 2024, D.C. United acquired McVey on a transfer from Inter Miami. International career In 2014, McVey played for the Sweden national under-17 team. The 2020–21 Svenska Cupen was the 65th season of the Svenska Cupen and the ninth season with the current format. Hammarby won the cup for the first time and secured a spot in the second qualifying round of the 2021–22 UEFA Europa Conference League. 2023 Leagues Cup
The 2023 Leagues Cup will be the third edition of the Leagues Cup, an inter-league soccer tournament between Major League Soccer and Liga MX. It will be held from July 21 to August 19, 2023, with all 77 matches held in either the United States or Canada. The tournament is organized by MLS and the Mexican Football Federation and sanctioned by CONCACAF, the continental governing body for the sport in North America. For the first time in the history of the competition, all MLS and Liga MX teams (47 total) will compete in the tournament, with both leagues taking a pause in their respective seasons to compete in the tournament. The Leagues Cup is an annual association football competition between clubs from Major League Soccer and Liga MX in North America. It debuted in July 2019 with four teams participating from each league. The first edition was a single-elimination tournament hosted in the United States with a final played in Las Vegas on September 18, 2019. The 2019 Superettan is part of the 2019 Swedish football season, and the 19th season of Superettan, Sweden's second-tier football division in its current format.
