Christopher Greenbury
Christopher Greenbury (September 24, 1951 – January 4, 2007) was an English film editor with more than thirty film credits dating from 1979's ''The Muppet Movie''. With Tariq Anwar, he won the BAFTA Award for Best Editing for '' American Beauty'' (1999), which he was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Film Editing. ''American Beauty'' is a serious drama, but in general Greenbury edited comedy films, including six directed by the Farrelly brothers commencing with 1994's ''Dumb and Dumber''. Film editing is both a creative and a technical part of the post-production process of filmmaking. The term is derived from the traditional process of working with film stock, film which increasingly involves the use Digital cinema, of digital technology. The film editor works with raw footage, selecting Shot (filming), shots and combining them into Sequence (filmmaking), sequences which create a finished Film, motion picture. ''On the Air Live with Captain Midnight'' is a 1979 American comedy-drama, comedy-drama film directed by Beverly Sebastian and Ferd Sebastian with Tracy Sebastian as Marvin Ziegler, also known as Captain Midnight (not to be confused with the Captain Midnight serial character from the 1930s and 1940s), who runs his own pirate radio station and becomes an underground cult hit. The film was released in 1979 although it was filmed in 1977. The film is about a teenager who has a mobile broadcast transmitter in his van that allows him to take over the airwaves as a renegade disc jockey. Veteran Los Angeles DJ Jim Ladd co-stars in the film as a disc jockey. ''The Heavenly Kid'' is a 1985 American romantic comedy fantasy film directed by Cary Medoway and starring Lewis Smith, Jason Gedrick, Jane Kaczmarek and Richard Mulligan. Plot In the early 1960s, Bobby Fontana ( Lewis Smith), a young greaser-type rebel, challenges Joe Barnes (Mark Metcalf) to a game of chicken for making a pass at his girlfriend Emily (Jane Kaczmarek). Michael Pressman is an American film and television producer and director. Early life A native of Manhattan, Pressman was born into a theatrical family. His mother, Sasha, a modern dancer, was an original member of Martha Graham's renowned first dance troupe. His father, David Pressman, was a well-known theatrical and television director who helped launch Boston University’s distinguished school of theater and helmed Broadway plays, including ''The Disenchanted'', Jason Robards' first Broadway appearance; and the original '' Actor’s Studio'' Anthology Series in the late 1940’s, for which he discovered and cast an unknown Grace Kelly.
