Christopher Dede
Christopher 'Chris' Dede (born 1947), is an educational researcher and the Timothy E. Wirth Professor in Learning Technologies at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. His expertise includes emerging technologies, policy and leadership in education. He has been noted as one of the main contributors to the emergence of educational technology in the 2000s and 2010s and has received awards for his research from the American Educational Research Association, the Association for Teacher Educators, and the Association for Educational Communications and Technology. Augmented reality (AR) is an interactive experience that combines the real world and computer-generated content. The content can span multiple sensory modalities, including visual, auditory, haptic, somatosensory and olfactory. AR can be defined as a system that incorporates three basic features: a combination of real and virtual worlds, real-time interaction, and accurate 3D registration of virtual and real objects.
