Christoph Wyneken
Christoph Wyneken (born 1941) is a German violinist and conductor. Life and career Born in Berlin, Wyneken studied violin and conducting at the music academies of Berlin University of the Arts, Hochschule für Musik Detmold and Austin. As a violinist he played with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, with the Berliner Philharmonic and as first concertmaster of the NDR Radiophilharmonie. Wyneken had a teaching position for chamber music/violin at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg. Wyneken's commitment to promoting young talent and as conductor of the Landesjugendorchester Baden-Württemberg was honoured in 2003 with the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. A cooperation links Wyneken with music academies in Germany, Japan, Poland and the United States. He was a visiting professor at the "Musashino" music academy in Tokyo and led concert projects of the university orchestra with subsequent concert tours through the music centres of Japan. Stuttgarter Kammerorchester
The Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra (Stuttgarter Kammerorchester) is a German chamber orchestra based in Stuttgart. Its principal concert venue is the Liederhalle, Stuttgart. History Karl Münchinger founded the orchestra in 1945, and served as its chief conductor until 1987. With Münchinger, the orchestra made its USA debut in March 1954, in New York City. Martin Sieghart was the orchestras second chief conductor, from 1990 to 1995. From 1995 to 2006, Dennis Russell Davies was chief conductor, and his projects with the orchestra included recordings of Haydn symphonies. Subsequent chief conductors have included Michael Hofstetter (2006–2013) and Matthias Foremny (2013–2019). In October 2017, the orchestra announced the appointment of Thomas Zehetmair as its next chief conductor, effective with the 2019–2020 season, with an initial contract of three years. Founded in 1924, they play regular concert series including youth concerts in Stuttgart, as well as guest concerts internationally. The Staatskapelle Halle is a German symphony orchestra based in Halle, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Part of the umbrella organisation ''Theater, Oper und Orchester GmbH Halle'', the orchestra performs symphonic concerts, and also serves as the orchestra for the ''Oper Halle''. History The historical precursor ensemble was the ''Hallische Stadtorchester'', formed in 1852.
