ATV is a television station in Melbourne, Australia, part of Network 10 – one of the three major Australian free-to-air commercial television networks. The station is owned by Paramount Networks UK & Australia. History In April 1963, the licence to operate Melbourne's third commercial television station was awarded to Austarama Television, owned by transport magnate Reginald Ansett. The new channel, ATV-0 (pronounced as the letter ''O'', never the number ''zero''), began transmission on 1 August 1964 from a large modern studio complex located in the then-outer eastern suburb of Nunawading, in the locality now known as Forest Hill, but referred to at the time as Burwood East. ''Second Chance'' is an American game show that ran from March 7 to July 15, 1977 on ABC. Jim Peck hosted, with Jay Stewart and Jack Clark serving as announcers. The show was a production of the Carruthers Company in association with Warner Bros. Television. ''Second Chance'' was later retooled into ''Press Your Luck''. Game play Three contestants competed on each program. Like its successor series six years later, ''Second Chance'' saw contestants answer trivia questions in order to earn spins on a large game board with various cash amounts and prizes. Hotel Story
''Hotel Story'' was an Australian television series made by Crawford Productions (now Crawfords Australia) for the Ten Network in 1977. The series, intended as a replacement for '' The Box'', was set in a luxury international hotel. The regular characters were the hotel workers and in each one-hour episode they hosted a new batch of glamorous guest-star hotel guests, and rather like a drama version of ''The Love Boat'' stories would focus on both the self-contained dramas of the passing guests and the ongoing problems of the hotel staff. The regular cast was headed by Terence Donovan as the hotel manager, and also included Carmen Duncan, George Spartels, and American actor Richard Lawson.
