Christian Thaulow
Christian Thaulow (25 March 1864 – 12 September 1930) was a Norwegian merchant and politician for the Conservative Party. He was born in Trondhjem as a son of merchant and consul Hans Henrik Thaulow and Ulrikke Eleonore Steffens née Jenssen. On his mother's side he was a nephew of Francis Hagerup. He had two aunts who married men that served as MPs; Theodor Gottlieb August Angell and Christian Petersen respectively. Thaulow married Julie Augusta Wefring in 1890, a sister of politician Karl Wilhelm Wefring. After finishing his secondary education in 1883, he enrolled at the Royal Frederick University and graduated with the cand.jur. degree in 1887. He did not seek a career in law, but settled as a merchant in Trondhjem in 1888 in the family company ''Chr. Thaulow & Søn''. He became the sole proprietor in 1897. The Conservative Party or The Right ( nb, Høyre, nn, Høgre, , H; se, Olgešbellodat) is a liberal-conservative political party in Norway. It is the major party of the Norwegian centre-right, and was the leading party in government as part of the Solberg cabinet from 2013 to 2021. The current party leader is former Prime Minister Erna Solberg. The party is a member of the International Democrat Union and an associate member of the European People's Party. The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. A member of Stortinget is known in Norwegian as a ''stortingsrepresentant'', literally "Storting representative". Andreas Berg
Andreas Berg (4 October 1861 – 29 June 1944) was a Norwegian lawyer, banker and politician for the Conservative Party. He was born in Trondhjem as a son of bank treasurer Lauritz Berg and Regine Fredrikke Wanvig. In 1881 he married cityfellow Petra Larsen. He took the examen artium at Trondhjem Cathedral School in 1879 and graduated from the Royal Frederick University with the cand.jur. degree in 1883. After a period as a deputy judge in Trondhjem City Court, he worked as an attorney in the city from 1885. In 1901 he became chief executive officer of the bank Den nordenfjeldske Kreditbank. He retired after 28 years in the bank. He was also a board member of Centralbanken for Norge and several other ventures. Berg served as Mayor of Trondheim from 1899 to 1901 and 1908 to 1910. He was elected to the Parliament of Norway from the constituency ''Trondhjem og Levanger'' in 1903, and served through one term as a member of the Standing Committee on Constitutional Affairs. The Royal Order of the Crown (german: Königlicher Kronen-Orden) was a Prussian order of chivalry. Instituted in 1861 as an honour equal in rank to the Order of the Red Eagle, membership could only be conferred upon commissioned officers (or civilians of approximately equivalent status), but there was a medal associated with the order which could be earned by non-commissioned officers and enlisted men. Officially the Order of the Red Eagle and the Order of the Crown were equal. Most officials did however prefer to be appointed in the older Order of the Red Eagle. The Order of the Crown was often used as an award for someone who had to be rewarded while the Prussian government did not want to use the Order of the Red Eagle.
