Christian Syse
Christian Syse (born 30 September 1962) is a Norwegian civil servant and diplomat. Syse is a son of Else and Jan P. Syse, and a brother of Henrik Syse. He was educated at the Norwegian School of Economics and at Yale University. He was hired at the Office of the Prime Minister from 1998 to 2003, and then served as secretary for the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs. From 2008 to 2011 he was appointed deputy under-secretary of state (ekspedisjonssjef) in the Ministry of Foreign affairs, and from 2011 he assumed the position of Assistant Secretary General. In December 2016 he was appointed ambassador to the Norwegian embassy in Stockholm, effective from 2017. Siv Nordrum
Siv Nordrum (7 October 1958 – 24 April 2021) was a Norwegian journalist, communication director and politician. Born in Drøbak, Nordrum worked as journalist from 1977, and was assigned with NRK in the 1980s and 1990s. At NRK she started working for the radio's main news programme ''Dagsnytt'' in 1984, and was a foreign correspondent for NRK in Asia from 1989. From 2001 to 2005 she served as State Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister, working with Kjell Magne Bondevik. Henrik Syse (born 19 April 1966) is a Norwegian philosopher, author, and lecturer. He is a Research Professor at the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO), and a part-time Professor of Peace and Conflict Studies at Bjørknes College in Oslo. He was a member of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, which awards the Nobel Peace Prize, from 2015 to 2020, and was a member of the Norwegian Press Complaints Commission from 2002 to 2016. Norwegian Legation In Stockholm
The Norwegian Legation in Stockholm played a significant role during the Second World War. Until 9 April 1940 the legation consisted of four persons, and at the end of the war about 1,100 persons were connected to the legation. Refugee cases were among the legation's most central tasks. In 1941 a Military office was established, and this was later split into separate offices for intelligence ( XU related cases), and for Milorg related cases. Management The legation was led by minister Johan Wollebæk from 1921 until his death in October 1940. In 1940 Jens Bull took over as chargé d'affaires, and recognized as minister by the Swedish authorities from 1942.
