Christian Revolution
Christian Revolution ( it, Rivoluzione Cristiana) was a Christian democratic political party in Italy led by Gianfranco Rotondi. The party was affiliated with Forza Italia. History The party was founded on 27 June 2015 by the deputy of Forza Italia Gianfranco Rotondi. According to Rotondi, the political project of Christian Revolution is founded on the belief that there is still room for a force of Christian inspiration after the end of the Christian Democracy. On 6 July 2018 Rotondi announced the foundation of the Federation of Christian Democracy, with the adhesion of Christian Revolution, Angelo Sandri's Christian Democracy and other small Christian democratic parties. Rotondi was appointed coordinator of the federation. Gianfranco Rotondi
Gianfranco Rotondi (born 25 July 1960) is an Italian politician and a member of the Chamber of Deputies. Biography Rotondi was born in Avellino, Campania. Political career Graduated in law, he was first elected in the Chamber of Deputies in 2001 as member of the House of Freedoms and Union of Christian and Centre Democrats in the uninominal electorate of Rho. However, in 2005, he left UDC over disagreements about the relationship with Silvio Berlusconi's Forza Italia, which Rotondi wanted to be closer. He then founded a new party strongly inspired on Christian ideals and the former Christian Democracy party, called Christian Democracy for the Autonomies. In 2008, his party joined the People of Freedom, and he was appointed Minister without Portfolio for the Implementation of the Government Program in Berlusconi IV Cabinet, a position he held until 16 November 2011. Pescara
Pescara (; nap, label= Abruzzese, Pescàrë; nap, label= Pescarese, Piscàrë) is the capital city of the Province of Pescara, in the Abruzzo region of Italy. Rocco Buttiglione (; born 6 June 1948) is an Italian Union of Christian and Centre Democrats politician and an academic. Buttiglione's nomination for a post as European Commissioner with a portfolio that was to include civil liberties, resulted in controversy as some political groups opposed him for his conservative Catholic views on homosexuality, despite his assurances that these were only his personal convictions and would not dictate his administration. Buttiglione is a Professor of political science at Saint Pius V University in Rome, and member of the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences. Mario Tassone (born 8 August 1943 in Castrovillari, Calabria) is an Italian politician and lawyer. Biography Tassone was member of the Chamber of Deputies from 1976 to 1994 and from 1996 to 2013. Federico Tedeschini (12 October 1873 – 2 November 1959) was an Italian cardinal of the Holy Roman Church who served as papal datary in the Roman Curia from 1938 until his death, and was elevated to the cardinalate in 1933 ''in pectore'' (published 1935) by Pope Pius XI.
