Christian "Ian" Perez (born 17 January 1982) is a Filipino professional darts player. Career In October 2009, Perez reached the final of the Shanghai International Darts Open, losing 10–4 to John Part. He later qualified for the 2010 PDC World Darts Championship where he defeated Denmark's Per Laursen 4–3 in the preliminary round. In the first round against Robert Thornton, Perez won the first set, but eventually lost 3–1. Perez again qualified for the PDC World Championship in 2012 after defeating Bobong Gabiana in the final of the Philippines qualifier. He won through the preliminary round where he beat Dietmar Burger 4 legs to 0, setting up a first round match with Alan Tabern, which he then lost 3 sets to 1 on the same day. Grand Slam Of Darts
The Grand Slam of Darts is a darts tournament organised by the Professional Darts Corporation and is known as the Cazoo Grand Slam of Darts for sponsorship purposes. The PDC also invited the best performing players from its rival, the British Darts Organisation. There have been two previous head-to-head matches between the champions of the two organisations and a few overseas tournaments have also featured BDO v PDC clashes, but this tournament is the first of its kind to be held in the United Kingdom. The Cazoo UK Open is a ranking major darts tournament held annually at the Butlins Minehead Resort by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) in England. Often referred to as the "FA Cup of darts", the UK Open replicates the abolition of seedings, elimination play, and fixtures determined via open draw. 2023 PDC World Darts Championship
The 2022/23 PDC World Darts Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the 2022/23 Cazoo World Darts Championship) is the upcoming 30th World Championship organised by the Professional Darts Corporation since it separated from the British Darts Organisation. Simon Whitlock (born 3 March 1969) is an Australian professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) tournaments, having also played in the British Darts Organisation (BDO) between 2004 and 2009. He uses the nickname The Wizard for his matches. His walk-on music is "Down Under" by Men at Work. His greatest achievements to date are winning the 2012 European Championship and 2022 World Cup of Darts for Australia with Damon Heta. Whitlock has also finished runner-up at the 2008 BDO World Darts Championship and the 2010 PDC World Darts Championship. Peter Wright (born 10 March 1970) is a Scottish professional darts player who plays in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), where he is currently ranked No. 2 in the world. The PDC Pro Tour is a series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). The 2023 PDC Pro Tour is the current series of non-televised darts tournaments organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Players Championships and European Tour events are the events that make up the Pro Tour. There will be thirty Players Championship events and thirteen PDC European Tour events, as well as 24 events for the Challenge and Development Tours, and the Women's Series.
