Christian Murchison
Christian Murchison (born 1 November 1980) is a racing driver from Singapore. Biography In 2003, Murchison finished 10th in the Eurocup Formula Renault V6 Championship. In 2000 and 2001, he was the runner-up in the Australian Formula Holden Championship for two year consecutive years. He finished 5th in the Australian Formula Ford Championship in 1999, and won the West Australian Formula Ford Championship in 1998. He was named "Rookie of the Year" in Formula Holden in 2000 and in Formula Ford in 1998. In six years of competitive kart racing from 1992–98, he won five West Australian state titles. In 2006, Murchison was selected to drive for the newly formed A1 Team Singapore for the A1 Grand Prix of Nations 2006-7 season. He repaid the team's management by scoring the team's first points in Singapore's third A1 GP event by finishing 8th on the Beijing Street Circuit. 2007 Bathurst 1000
The 2007 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 was an endurance race for V8 Supercars, held on 7 October 2007 at the Mount Panorama Circuit near Bathurst in New South Wales, Australia. It was the tenth round of the 2007 V8 Supercar Championship Series. The race was the eleventh running of the Australian 1000, first held in 1997 following an organisational split that occurred with the Bathurst 1000 in that year. It was the 50th race in the combined history of the Bathurst 1000 and the Australian 1000. Entry list 31 cars were entered in the race – 15 Holden Commodores and 16 Ford Falcons. A1 Team Singapore
A1 Team Singapore is the A1 Grand Prix national team representing Singapore. Singapore took part in this competition for the first time in its history in October 2006. Christian Murchison, Denis Lian and Hafiz Koh were the original drivers for the team. The team was launched on 19 September 2006 by sports minister Vivian Balakrishnan, with West Surrey Racing to run the car. The future of the Singapore A1 team is in doubt for the third season, with both drivers Denis Lian and Hafiz Koh already being dropped from the team in season 2.
