Christian Castillo (politician)
Christian Carlos Hernan Castillo (born March 28, 1967) is an Argentinian activist, politician, sociologist and university teacher. He is a founding member of the Socialist Workers' Party (Argentina) (PTS). In the 2013 elections he was voted in as a deputy for the Buenos Aires Province for the Workers Left Front; he resigned to his seat on June 10, 2015 to leave his place to the next candidate based on the banking rotation between the different parties that make up the Front. He was pre-candidate to Governor of the Buenos Aires Province during the 2015 primary elections, losing to Néstor Pitrola. University He was director of the Sociology department at the University of Buenos Aires Faculty of Social Sciences. As a Marxist intellectual, he heads the Karl Marx Free Cathedra, which is taught in the Buenos Aires, La Plata, Neuquén, Córdoba, Mendoza, Jujuy, La Matanza, Tucumán and Quilmes Universities. Buenos Aires Province Chamber Of Deputies
The Chamber of Deputies of Buenos Aires Province ( es, Cámara de Diputados de la Provincia de Buenos Aires) is the lower house of the Legislature of Buenos Aires Province, the largest and most populous of Argentina's provinces. It is made up of 92 deputies elected in eight multi-member constituencies known as Electoral Sections. The number of deputies that correspond to each of the electoral sections is proportional to their population, as observed in the results of every nationwide census conducted in Argentina every 10 years. Seats may only be added to adjust the proportionality of each section, but never reduced. As in the National Chamber of Deputies and most other provincial legislatures, elections to the Chamber are held every two years, so that half of its members are up in each election, making it a rare example of staggered elections used in a lower house. Horacio González (1 February 1944 – 22 June 2021) was an Argentine teacher and essayist. Until December 2015, he was the director of the National Library of the Argentine Republic. Life Horacio has Italian descent through his maternal grandfather, born in Recanati, Marche. He graduated in sociology at the University of Buenos Aires in 1970. He got the doctorate of social sciences at the Brazilian University of São Paulo in 1992. He was a university teacher since 1968, with academic tenure at the University of Buenos Aires, the National University of Rosario and the Facultad Libre de Rosario. Jorge Altamira
Jorge Altamira (born José Saúl Wermus in 1942), is an Argentine activist and politician leading the Workers' Party (''Partido Obrero'') in Argentina. He was born José Saúl Wermus (sometimes spelled "José Huermus") in Buenos Aires, on 14 April 1942. Altamira's parents were ethnically Jewish but spiritually atheist and he was raised without religious conviction. Son of a printing worker active in the Graphist Union, Altamira began participating in the labor movement at an early age, and took part in a number of strikes. Altamira had a son. He founded an advocacy magazine, ''Política Obrera'', in 1964, and, later a party by the same name. The party was banned following the March 1976 coup, however, though in 1982, amid the political liberalization that preceded the 1983 return to democracy, he founded the Workers' Party of Argentina.
