Christian Brand
Christian Brand (born 23 May 1972) is a German football coach and former player who coaches Werder Bremen youth teams. Playing career A midfielder, Brand began his career at VfB Oldenburg and made his debut for the club on 27 August 1991 in a match against FC St. Pauli. In his first season Brand played 13 games as Oldenburg narrowly missed out on promotion, finishing in second place behind Bayer Uerdingen. Coaching career After retiring from football, Brand became the new assistant manager of FC Thun in the summer 2007. On 7 January 2008, he was appointed as a youth coach of the FC Luzern. After the former coach Rolf Fringer was sacked on 2 May 2011, he was named caretaker manager of the Luzern first team and will be replaced by Murat Yakin at the end of the season. He was appointed as the head coach of Jahn Regensburg on 18 November 2014. He was appointed as the head coach of Hansa Rostock on 7 December 2015. He was sacked on 13 May 2017. Quakenbrück
Quakenbrück (Northern Low Saxon: ''Quokenbrügge'') is a town in the Osnabrück (district), district of Osnabrück, in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is situated on the river Hase. It is part of the ''Samtgemeinde'' ("collective municipality") of Artland. History Quakenbrück was founded in 1234 by the Bishop of Osnabrück, according to the earliest documents, although the area had been settled previously. It served as a border to the north of Osnabrück. On 29 May 1916, a Nail Men, nail man made from French Populus, poplar was given to the town by Clemens Freiherr von Schorlemer-Lieser and placed in the meeting room of the town hall. Revenue from the statue, which depicted a 13th-14th-century knight clad in armor and holding a shield and a sword and has come to be known as the Quakenbrück iron Knight (''Quakenbrücker Eiserner Burgmann''), were used to fuel the war effort. The DFB-Pokal ( is a German knockout football cup competition held annually by the German Football Association (DFB). Sixty-four teams participate in the competition, including all clubs from the Bundesliga and the 2. Bundesliga. It is considered the second-most important club title in German football after the Bundesliga championship. Taking place from August until May, the winner qualifies for the DFL-Supercup and the UEFA Europa League unless the winner already qualifies for the UEFA Champions League in the Bundesliga. The competition was founded in 1935, then called the '' Tschammer-Pokal''. The first titleholders were 1. FC Nürnberg. In 1937, Schalke 04 were the first team to win the double. The Tschammer-Pokal was suspended in 1944 due to World War II and disbanded following the demise of Nazi Germany.
